About this study

What is this?

Part of AccessRail Assist, a research project at the Institution of Railway Research, University of Huddersfield, funded by Innovate UK. We are studying how well people can tell what is happening in CCTV-style footage of railway stations.

What will I do?

Look at short images and clips, one at a time, and answer a few questions about each: what, if anything, is happening, and how realistic it looks. Some of the material is computer-generated; you will not be told which. There are no right or wrong answers.

Your answers

We do not ask for your name or email address, and we do not record your IP address. A random code in a cookie lets you continue where you left off. Answers are stored on a secure server in London, UK, kept until the end of the researcher's PhD, and used in anonymous form in research reports and publications.

Taking part

Taking part is voluntary, and you can stop at any time by closing the page. Because your answers are anonymous, we cannot remove them after you have given them.

Content note: some items show pushing or kicking, a fall, or someone blocking, following or filming another person. There are no weapons or injuries, and you can stop at any time.
